Please join us for a Service of Evening Prayer and Healing on Thursday, August 26th at 7.00 p.m. This service is particularly appropriate for those experiencing difficulty with grief or terminal illness. All are welcome to receive special individual prayers for healing and anointing with chrism - come and join us!

September is full of Holy Days that are celebrated with a special Eucharist either on the day-of, or the evening before. Join us as we celebrate the Feast of St. Matthew, the Feast of the Holy Cross, and the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels. For more information, click here.

The Blessing of the Animals takes place on Saturday, October 2nd at 10.00 a.m. in commemoration of St. Francis of Assisi. Well-behaved pets on leashes or in containers of other kinds are invited to join on the Prince of Peace Labyrinth for a special prayer and individual blessing.

The Parish Cookbook (full of all sorts of Lutheran culinary miracles...) will be published this fall and available for Christmastime gifts - you can order yours now by clicking here.

Events for Reformationtide will be observed throughout the month of October, including our Sunday Morning Faith Forums, a German-themed parish lunch on October 10th, Parish Discernment events, and Luther’s Formula Missae et Communionis with the TooEarly Recorder Ensemble on October 31. For more information, click here.

Prince of Peace continues to partner with South Suburban PADS to provide shelter for individuals and families in transition. Twice a week, our East Room provides a warm place to sleep and a hot meal to those without a home. Switching to the summer schedule in May, this schedule expands to five nights a week. Volunteers are always needed on food teams, as shelter monitors, etc. If you are interested in volunteering (many hands make light work), please e-mail our office here, or visit the PADS website by clicking here.
